Majority of those Pakistanis who know about the situation in Yemen think that Pakistan should support Saudi Arabia in this crisis.

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 67% of those Pakistanis who know about the situation in Yemen think that Pakistan should support Saudi Arabia in the current crisis in Yemen; 33% disagree.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women who are aware of the situation in Yemen, from across the four provinces was asked, “In your opinion, should Pakistan support Saudi Arabia in the current crisis in Yemen or should it stay neutral?” In response to this question, 67% respondents said that Pakistan should support Saudi Arabia in the current crisis in Yemen, while 33% respondents said that Pakistan should remain neutral. 

Question: “In your opinion, should Pakistan support Saudi Arabia in the current crisis in Yemen or should it stay neutral?”

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1060 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during April 06- April 13, 2015. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
