Overwhelming majority of those Pakistanis who named the founder of Pakistan correctly were also able to give the correct date for Quaid-e-Azam’s birthday.

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 82% of those Pakistanis who named the founder of Pakistan correctly were also able to give the correct date for Quaid-e-Azam’s birthday.

A nationally representative sample of those adult men and women who named the founder of Pakistan correctly, from across the four provinces was asked, “Please tell us the date of Quaid-e-Azam’s birth?” In response to this question, 82% respondents gave the correct date of Quaid-e-Azam’s birth, while 15% gave the incorrect date and 3% did not respond.

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1882 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during December 29, 2014 – January 05, 2015. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
