According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 43% Pakistanis said they suffered from the problem of dandruff during the last year; 57% Pakistanis did not face this problem.
A nationally representative sample of adult men and women, from across the four provinces was asked, “In the past one year, have you faced any of the following problems/diseases related to hair: Dandruff in hair?” In response to this question, 43% respondents said they did suffer from the problem of dandruff in hair during the last year, while 57% respondents did not suffer from the problem of dandruff. According to the gender-wise breakdown, slightly less than half respondents among both genders faced this problem. Among men, 45% said they faced this problem, while 55% did not. Among women, 41% faced this problem, while 59% did not.

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1389 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during January 19 - January 26, 2015. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
