According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 22% Pakistanis claim they have faced premature greying of hair during the past year; 78% Pakistanis have not faced the problem.
A nationally representative sample of adult men and women, from across the four provinces was asked, “In the past one year, have you faced any of the following problems/diseases related to hair: Premature greying of hair?” In response to this question, 22% respondents said they have faced this problem during the past one year, while 78% have not faced premature greying of hair during the last year. According to the gender-wise breakdown of the survey, 18% men said they faced the problem of premature greying of hair, while 82% did not. Moreover, 27% women faced the problem, while 73% did not.

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1389 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during January 19 - January 26, 2015. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
