53% Pakistanis watch talk shows; 46% don’t. GILANI POLL/GALLUP PAKISTAN

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 53% Pakistanis watch talk shows; 46% don’t.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women, from across the four provinces was asked “Do you watch talk shows?” Responding to this, 53% said they watch talk shows whereas 46% replied they don’t. 1% did not respond.

Bilal Gilani, Executive Director at Gallup Pakistan, adds “With about 45 million people (around 53% of men and women) watching talk shows in Pakistan, Pakistan has highest proportion of audiences watching current affairs programmes”. 




The study was released by Gilani Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2616 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during Mar 03, 2014 – Mar 10, 2014. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
