Majority of Pakistanis (82%) believe prices have increased in the past three months. GILANI POLL/GALLUP PAKISTAN

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, majority of Pakistanis (82%) believe prices have increased in the past three months.  

A nationally representative sample of men and women, from across the four provinces was asked “In your opinion, in the past three months have prices increased, decreased or remained the same?” Responding to this, 82% said increased, 7% said decreased and 11% replied that the prices remained the same.

The study was released by Gilani Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2605 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during Feb 03, 2014 – Feb 10, 2014. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
