35% Pakistanis believe that the National Assembly’s performance has been good during the previous year. GILANI POLL/GALLUP PAKISTAN

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 35% Pakistanis believe that the National Assembly’s performance has been good during the previous year.

 A nationally representative sample of men and women, from across the four provinces was asked “Kindly tell what do you think about the performance of the National Assembly in the last year?” Responding to this, 11% dubbed the performance as very good followed by 24% who considered it good. 32% were satisfied with the National Assembly’s performance in the previous year while 19% thought it was bad. Only 8% claimed it to be very bad. 6% did not respond.

The study was released by Gilani Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2596 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during January 6, 2014 – Jan 13, 2014. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
