Only 27% Pakistanis believe Pakistan is moving in the right direction. GILANI POLL/GALLUP PAKISTAN

Islamabad, Dec, 24 2013

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, Only 27% Pakistanis believe Pakistan is moving in the right direction.

A nationally representative sample of men and women, from across the four provinces was asked “In your opinion, is our country moving in the right direction or the wrong direction?” Responding to this, 72% claimed that Pakistan in the wrong direction whereas 27% believed otherwise. 1% did not respond.

The study was released by Gilani Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2556 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during November 04, 2013 – November 11, 2013.  Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
