51% Pakistanis claim to have a Cable connection at their home. GILANI POLL/GALLUP PAKISTAN

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 51% Pakistanis claim to have a Cable connection at their home. 

A nationally representative sample of men and women, from across the four provinces was asked  ““Do you have a cable connection at your home?” Responding to this, 51% claim that they have a cable connection at their home whereas 49% do not have a connection.

Viewership of Cable Channels is much higher (85%) in Urban areas than in Rural areas (50%) in the year 2013.

The study was released by Gilani Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 9660 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during Jan 15 – Feb 07, 2013. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
