53% Pakistanis believe that Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry is performing well. GILANI POLL/GALLUP PAKISTAN

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 53% Pakistanis believe that Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry is performing well.

A nationally representative sample of men and women, from across the four provinces was asked “What is your opinion about the overall performance of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry?” Responding to this, 23% said his performance was very good, 30% said it was good and 25% said it was suitable. 9% responded it was bad and 3% said very bad. 10% did not respond.

The study was released by Gilani Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2616 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during October 21, 2013 - October 28, 2013. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
