A majority of Pakistanis (94%) believe that the Pakistani youth is patriotic. GILANI POLL/GALLUP PAKISTAN

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, a majority of Pakistanis (94%) believe that the Pakistani youth is patriotic.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “Please tell us, in your opinion, how patriotic is the Pakistani youth?” Responding to this, 51% said the youth is very patriotic, 43% said it is somewhat patriotic and 5% said it is not patriotic at all. 1% did not respond.

 The study was released by Gilani foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2533 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during July 30, 2013 – August 5, 2013. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
