A notable majority of Pakistanis (78%) think PM Nawaz Sharif should make foreign trips in order to strengthen bilateral ties with various countries. GILANI POLL/GALLUP PAKISTAN

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, a notable majority of Pakistanis (78%) think PM Nawaz Sharif should make foreign trips in order to strengthen bilateral ties with various countries.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “Recently PM Nawaz Sharif made a trip to China. Do you think the PM should make further foreign trips in the future to strengthen bilateral ties with various countries?” Responding to this, 78% said Yes and 21% said No. 1% chose not to respond.

The study was released by Gilani foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2635 men and women in urban and rural areas of all four provinces of the country, during July 01, 2013 – July 08, 2013. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
