In a recent survey conducted by Gallup Pakistan, 31% Pakistanis opined that they hold a favorable opinion about former military ruler and President, Pervez Musharraf. Another 28% hold a satisfactory opinion. Around 34% hold an unfavorable opinion.
The Gallup Pakistan Poll asked the question “How would you rate the personality of General Pervez Musharraf on a scale ranging from Very Good to Very Bad?” 11% opined very good, 20% good, 28% satisfactory, 18% bad and 16% opined very bad. 7% responders did not give a view.
Executive Director at Gallup Pakistan cautions that likeability as a person and indicators of electability and eligibility to rule are very different and therefore caution should be observed in interpreting the results in any direction.

The study was released by Gilani foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2635 men and women in urban and rural areas of all four provinces of the country, during July 01, 2013 – July 08, 2013. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
