85% of Pakistanis sit and watch TV with their families. GILANI POLL/GALLUP PAKISTAN

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 85% of Pakistanis sit and watch TV with their families.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “Do you often sit and watch TV with your family or somewhere else?” Responding to this, 85% said with family, 12% said somewhere else and 2% said they don’t watch TV. However, 1% did not give a response.

The study was released by Gilani foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2710 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during March 11, 2013 – March 18, 2013. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
