Summer is the least favorite season amongst Pakistanis with only 2% saying it’s their favorite. GILANI POLL/GALLUP PAKISTAN


Islamabad, March 29, 2013

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, summer is the least favorite season amongst Pakistanis with only 2% saying it’s their favorite.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “What is your favorite season?” Responding to this, 68% said spring, 16% said winter, 6% said autumn, 4% said monsoon, 3% said all and 2% said summer. However, 1% did not give a response.

The study was released by Gilani foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2659 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during February 18, 2013 – February 25, 2013. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
