Islamabad, April 26,

According to a Gilani
Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, Karachi is seen as
the city most vulnerable to stealing or snatching of mobile phones; 40% of all
Pakistanis hold that view. In Karachi itself the view is worse as 88% of
Karachites hold that view about Karachi.
A nationally
representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces
was asked “According to you, which city has the most
incidents of stolen or snatched mobile phones?” Responding to
this, 40% of all Pakistanis claim that Karachi is the
city most vulnerable to stealing or snatching of mobile phones. Other cities
seen as vulnerable were Lahore (16%), Peshawar (4%), Faisalabad (4%) and
Hyderabad (3%).
